Privacy Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026

This policy explains how The Incubator LLC, doing business as BuildPartner.ai ("we", "us"), handles information when you use our website, dashboard, Claude Code plugins, command line tools, coaching and programs (the "Service"). It is part of our Terms of Service. For plain answers to what the plugin sends from your computer and when, read the Data & Privacy FAQ.

1. The short version

  • Your code, files and Claude Code conversations stay on your computer. Our skills read them locally to help you and are designed never to upload them. A skill sends us only the search topic, short summaries, and usage events described below.
  • We collect what we need to run your account, meter usage, bill you, coach you, and improve the product: your account details, short usage events, and what you choose to send us.
  • Anything you type into Claude Code is processed by Anthropic under your own agreement with Anthropic. Your conversations are not sent to us.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • You can ask us to see, correct, export, or delete your information at any time.

2. What stays on your computer

Some BuildPartner.ai skills read files on your machine to give better recommendations, such as your Claude Code settings, CLAUDE.md files, skills, session history, and git history. That reading and analysis happens locally inside your own Claude Code session. We do not receive your source code, file contents, or conversation transcripts.

The plugin stores your sign-in details and a short queue of usage events in a ~/.buildpartner folder on your computer. Where a skill does send a summary to us (described below), it says so, and the skill is instructed to leave out conversation text, file contents, secrets, and contact details. Summaries are written by AI, so review what a skill shows you before it is sent where the skill offers that choice.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account: email address, username, and, if you share them, your name, role, industry, company, company size, and revenue range.
  • Billing: plan, purchase history, and billing identifiers. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processors (Stripe and Whop), not by us.
  • Coaching and support: messages, files, voice notes, screen recordings, and videos you send, plus transcripts of recordings, and anything you send through our contact or feedback forms.
  • Program applications and fulfillment: for programs such as the Executive AI Program, your phone number, company details, goals, and, after purchase, your shipping address and shirt size.
  • Community: forum posts, questions to your team, talent directory details if you opt in (shown to other members, including businesses looking to hire), and stories or testimonials you agree to share.
  • Command Center (if you use it): your skill and routine names, goals, and the business profile you enter (such as your offer, audience, website, and public social handles). If you turn on activity sharing, we also receive activity counts and short, one-line session summaries. You can turn sharing off at any time, which deletes what your machine reported from our live systems (copies in backups roll off on their own).
  • System review loop (if you use it): up to a few short suggestion summaries per run, with counts, dates, and skill names.

Information collected when you use the Service

  • Usage events from the plugin: the name of the event or BuildPartner.ai tool, skill name, timestamp, success or error type, and the length (not the text) of a prompt. These are limited by an allowlist before they leave your computer.
  • Requests to our tools: when a skill fetches an expert framework, build, or team knowledge, the topic or search terms it sends; when you use our social media research tools, the handles, links, and search terms you look up; and token counts for AI features we run for you.
  • Website and dashboard: pages viewed, device and browser information, IP address, referring page, and campaign tags. When you use our public "Ask the experts" chat, we record an anonymous visitor ID and IP address to enforce free limits.
  • Email engagement: whether our emails are delivered, opened, or clicked.

Information from others

Payment status from our payment processors, booking details from scheduling tools, and public information returned by social media platforms when you use our research tools.

4. How we use information

  • to create and secure your account, sign you in, and provide the features of your plan;
  • to meter credits and usage, process payments, and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • to deliver coaching, calls, programs, and shipments, and to answer support requests;
  • to generate recommendations, insights, and answers for you (see Section 5);
  • to understand how the Service is used, fix problems, and improve it;
  • to send you service messages and, where allowed, product updates and marketing, which you can opt out of; and
  • to comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect our users and business.

5. AI processing

  • Some features we run on our servers, such as the web expert chat, system review recommendations, and Command Center insights, send the relevant information to Anthropic's API to generate a response. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, it may not use that data to train its models.
  • Voice and video recordings sent in coaching are transcribed by our transcription provider, Deepgram.
  • We do not use your personal information or Your Content to train AI models.

6. How we share information

We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers that process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it: hosting and infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase), payments (Stripe, Whop), email (Resend) and newsletter (Beehiiv), product analytics (PostHog), visitor identification (RB2B), AI and transcription (Anthropic, Deepgram), social data lookups (GetXAPI, ScrapeCreators), scheduling and calls (Google Workspace, Calendly), shipping (Pirate Ship), messaging automation (ManyChat), and internal team communication (Slack), which our team uses to receive notifications about signups, purchases, applications, and coaching messages.
  • Other members, when you post in member-only spaces, and your organization, on team plans (see Section 9).
  • The public, only when you agree to be featured, such as in a success story.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, or the Service.
  • Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Cookies and analytics

  • A sign-in cookie keeps you logged in to your dashboard for up to a year, or until you sign out.
  • We use PostHog to understand how people use our website and dashboard.
  • We use a conversion pixel from Whop, our checkout provider, to measure purchases.
  • On our website we use a visitor identification service (RB2B). It and its data partners may use cookies and similar technologies to link your activity on our site to other information about you, including your email address, and we or providers acting for us may then send you email and marketing. You can opt out at app.retention.com/optout. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the service identifies your company rather than you, and you can opt out of the collection of your personal data under GDPR at rb2b.com/rb2b-gdpr-opt-out. It is turned off when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though some parts of the Service may not work without them. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you send a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any such sharing.

8. Email

We send service emails (such as sign-in codes, receipts, and account notices) that you cannot opt out of while you have an account. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can also email support@buildpartner.ai to stop them.

9. Team plans

If you use BuildPartner.ai through an organization, your organization's leaders can see usage information for members, such as how often each member uses the Service, and the topics members ask the team about, without saying who asked. The organization controls the knowledge content it provides to us.

10. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute reasons. Forum posts may remain without your name. Copies in backups are deleted as backups roll over.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and private storage for coaching files. No system is perfectly secure. Keep your access token private, and tell us at support@buildpartner.ai if you think your account has been compromised.

12. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • delete your account and personal information; and
  • stop sending you marketing email.

Email support@buildpartner.ai from the address on your account. We will respond within 30 days, and may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

13. California, EU and UK

California residents

In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of information described in Section 3: identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, audio and visual information (coaching recordings), professional information, and inferences such as recommendations. We use and disclose them for the business purposes in Sections 4 and 6. We do not sell personal information or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. You have the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sharing, and you may use an authorized agent.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom

We process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), for our legitimate interests (securing, understanding, and improving the Service, and marketing to existing customers), with your consent (for example optional activity sharing, which you can withdraw at any time), and to meet legal obligations. You also have the rights to object to and restrict processing and to data portability, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

14. International transfers

We are based in the United States and process information there and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers.

15. Children

The Service is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email support@buildpartner.ai and we will delete it.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and change the date at the top, and we will tell you by email or in the product before material changes take effect.
